General Purpose:
Customer service is the primary responsibility of the cocktail server at Beach Tikis. Servers greet guests, provide information to them and sometimes make order suggestions. In many instances they will need to request ID from guests to ensure they are old enough to purchase alcoholic beverages. Once on order is taken from the customer, cocktail waitresses take it to the bartender. They then bring the finished beverages back to the customer and retrieve empty glasses during the shift.

Requirements

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• May be required: to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Takes beverage order and relays it to Bartender.
• Collects order from Bartender, adds appropriate garnish, places on tray, and serves to patrons with cocktail napkins.
• Computes bill and accepts payment.
• Takes orders for and serves light meals and hors d'oeuvres.
• Requests identification from customers when legal age is questioned.
• Removes empty or dirty glasses and bottles and returns them to the bar or kitchen.
• Performs opening and closing duties as requested by outlet manager.
• Employee must be active in up-selling products.
• Other duties as assigned.
