POSITION PROFILE Ensure that guests have an enjoyable dining experience by providing prompt and courteous food and beverage services to restaurant customers.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent experience.
  • Three - Six months in a food/beverage services environment or establishment.
  • Must have vision ability to clearly see detailed guest checks, computer print outs, written instructions and to observe entire restaurant in dimly lit conditions.
  • Must have manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items in hand, and to balance and carry trays loaded with food and beverages.
  • Able to read, speak and understand English.
  • Able to lift, push, carry 20 - 40 lbs.
  • Stand continuously for long periods of time.
  • Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests.
  • Tips Certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and take drink orders from Lounge guest, serving the orders and accommodating special needs/requests.
  • Remains attentive to the guest throughout the entire Lounge experience, adhering to or exceeding service standards as established by the Lounge.
  • Accurately record and enter all food (where applicable) and beverage items.
  • Knowledge of all beverage menus, brand selections, prices and garnishes.
  • Responsible for Lounge setup to include but not limited to replenishing snacks, emptying ashtrays, controlling recorded music, ambience or busing tables.
  • Maximize sales by using menu knowledge and suggestive selling techniques.
  • Conduct self in a professional manner with the awareness that all actions and communications are within guest view.
  • Maintain cleanliness of lounge and service areas and ensure work area is orderly and properly stocked.
  • Responsible for collecting accurate payment from the guest and depositing the exact amount of sales.
  • Ensure a reasonable effort is made in preventing a guest from being intoxicated.
  • Maintain appearance and uniform standards.
  • Develop and maintain positive communication and teamwork with all co-workers and supervisors.
  • Handle all guest service issues in an immediate and professional manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
