Under supervision of the Lobby Bar Manager, the Cocktail Server works to prepare dining room and back of the house area for service. Servers are expected to welcome guests and attend to their every need, as well as assist in monitoring the guests’ needs in all phases of their dining experience. Servers must be positive, a team player, and passionate about serving guests. Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay for this position is $6.52 plus tips. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred. Minimum 21 years of age to mix and serve alcohol. Past serving experience required.Certification of alcohol awareness program, training in food, wine & liquor service preferred. CPR certification preferred. Must be able to compute basic mathematical calculations. Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment. Good to excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written. Must be able to pass a background check. Expectations & Responsibilities: All areas are kept clean and immaculate.Product knowledge is essential and must know all aspects of the menu and beverage offerings.Must be articulate, knowledgeable, and able to speak before large groups. Responsible for the happiness of each guest that may be in your section. Maintain complete knowledge of scheduled daily activities and in-house groups, daily house count, hours of operation of each outlet.Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, specials, 86'd items, liquor brands beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the restaurant.Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, proper table set-ups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range and dress code of the restaurant.Must be positive, a team player, and passionate about serving guests.Must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as be extremely thorough. Responsible for daily prep work, table maintenance, assisting with teammates needs, and creating an environment of teamwork and learning to be better. Must possess the ability to adapt in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment. Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor with guests and teammates at all times. Upholds the core values and policies and procedures of the resort. All other duties as assigned.
