About The Position

Delaware North Travel is hiring a full-time or part-time Cocktail Server to join our team at Austin Bergstrom Airport in Austin, Texas. As a Cocktail Server, you will use your knowledge of wines, beers, and cocktails to serve a variety of drinks to guests while providing excellent service in every interaction. Please note this is a tipped position, the hourly minimum pay listed doesn't include any potential tipped earnings. On July 10, 2025, Delaware North announced its US-based Travel Hospitality Services (THS) business will be sold to Areas, a global leader in travel dining and retail. The sale is expected to be finalized in the fourth quarter of 2025. Upon completion of the sale, all THS team members will become part of Areas. Areas will operate 369 locations in 27 airports and 12 travel plazas nationwide, with a U.S. workforce of over 6,000. Globally, Areas serves travelers in 11 countries with 2,200 points of sale and over $3 billion in annual revenue.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Possess basic knowledge of standard drink recipes and alcohol brand names
• Basic math skills

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, communicate drink specials, answer questions about available beverages, and take beverage orders
• Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, request identification, adhere to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures
• Enter drink orders into the point-of-sale system; pick up drink orders and deliver to guests
• Observe and follow up with guests, ready to provide additional service
• Prepare and deliver the guest checks; accept and process payment or direct guests to the cashier
• Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned
