The Assistant Director for Cobber Kids plays a key part-time leadership role in the daily operations, quality standards, and long-term success of the Center. This position supports and partners closely with the Director to ensure a safe, developmentally appropriate, engaging, and fully licensed early childhood environment for children, families, and staff. As part of Concordia’s leadership succession plan, this role is intentionally designed to prepare the incumbent to transition into the full-time Director of Cobber Kids position beginning August 1, 2026. This opportunity provides an exceptional pathway for an emerging early childhood leader who is ready to expand their administrative expertise and grow into a senior management role. The Assistant Director holds responsibility for operational management, personnel oversight, compliance and licensure, accreditation maintenance, program development, and family and community engagement. This role also fosters strong partnerships with campus stakeholders and supports financial, facility, and program quality initiatives. The Assistant Director helps uphold Cobber Kids’ mission while strengthening the Center’s reputation and continuity of leadership.
