About The Position

Coatings Technicians inspect and repair coatings applied to different materials in effort to maintain corrosion resistance, waterproofing and surface protection of various types of materials. Can sometimes require overnights and an expectation of travel including hotel stay

Requirements

Entry Level Position – Will train
NGA Coatings related qualifications or equivalent
Experience in surface preparation and coating applications
Valid driver’s license for at least 1 year
Must have the ability to safely operate a motorized vehicle.
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to climb, balance, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push and/or pull, twist and make repetitive hand movements. Ability to load, carry, lift, push and/or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Sitting or standing for prolonged period of time required.
Effective communication skills and ability to speak clearly with team members
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
Ability to act with integrity and respect of personal and public property
Ability to work in all types of weather

Responsibilities

Assist in equipment/site setup and maintenance
Lift and move objects up to a weight of 50lbs and take part in a team lift and move of objects greater than 50lbs
Partake short term travel for projects
Use hand and power tools
Organize and assist in maintaining work site safety and cleanliness
