Daher – Kodiak Aircraft is seeking motivated, detail‑oriented individuals to join their Coatings Team. As a Coatings Processor, you will support essential surface preparation, chemical processing, priming, and painting activities that ensure aircraft components meet all design, safety, and quality standards. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining the Alodine processing area, delivering safe, consistent, and high‑quality surface treatments while following established procedures, health and safety regulations, and production requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Proficient with basic computer systems (Windows, MS Office, web browsing).
  • Strong math skills including whole numbers, fractions, decimals.
  • Good analytical skills, reading comprehension, and alphanumeric accuracy.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • U.S. work authorization required.

Nice To Haves

  • Related manufacturing, coatings, or paint experience preferred (aerospace experience strongly valued).
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing, 6‑Sigma, and/or 5S methodologies to enhance safety, quality, cost, and throughput.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain chemical processing tanks; monitor concentrations and temperatures.
  • Process parts through Alodine tanks following documented procedures.
  • Follow job traveler requirements and document work in E10/MES.
  • Prep parts for primer/top coat and un‑rack coated parts.
  • Apply primer; assist with top‑coat applications.
  • Participate in paint prep and limited Alodine support.
  • Maintain a clean and organized paint booth environment.
  • Mix primers and paints per manufacturer specifications.
  • Plug, mask, load, and unload parts for painting.
  • Interpret job travelers and blueprints to apply primer/paint to Type Design requirements.
  • Clean and maintain spray guns and all paint‑booth equipment.
