The purpose of the Coating Wing Operator is to be responsible for positioning the carpet onto the pins using controls located at the tenter wings to give the carpet the correct width. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Secondary backing applications Ensure backing is at the proper width, wrinkle-free, and pinned properly. Assist in thread-up of coater at start-up or change-overs. Clean rollers, wrap rollers with plastic, clean tenter wings, and clean pans as required. Maintain and operate the topical applicator for the line. Continuously monitor the pinning of the carpet to ensure proper pinning is achieved. Keep the work area clean. Performance Expectations (if applicable): Lifting is required of tools and buckets with weights up to 25 lbs. 2 to 10 times per shift. Standing is required for 1 to 4 hours per shift. Reaching is required for tools and buckets 15 to 30 times per shift. Stooping is required 15 to 30 times per shift for intervals of 2 to 5 minutes. Bending is required for tools and buckets 15 to 30 times per shift. Climbing of stairs and ladders is occasionally required. Must be able to use scissors.
