About The Position

The position involves overseeing the operations of various stations including thermal clean, blasting, coating, and quality control to ensure they are functioning efficiently and meeting production quotas. The role requires ensuring that lead operators adhere to NOV Tuboscope Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Management System (QMS) Procedures. Additionally, the position includes assigning duties to coating plant operators for their shifts, developing and maintaining critical control points for process and product quality, and communicating essential information to the Plant Manager for effective and safe operations. The role also involves performing quality checks during production runs, following all Company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and QMS policies, and reporting any violations. The position requires directing personnel issues, including disciplinary actions and performance reviews, and completing any other job duties assigned by the Operations Manager.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills/ability to conduct large group meetings to shift personnel.
• Mechanical aptitude as demonstrated by prior experience.
• Ability to think ahead, anticipate problems, make decisions.
• Self-motivated towards productivity improvements, quality, and safety awareness.
• Solid interpersonal skills and team orientation.
• Willing to be flexible with rotating weekends and some holidays as needed.
• Flexible and able to accept and respond to multi-task assignments quickly, readily, and safely.
• Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; primarily Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Nice To Haves

• 2 years leadership experience in an industrial environment required.
• Prior coating and sand blasting experience preferred.
• NACE certification preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each station; thermal clean, blasting, coating, QC, are operating efficiently and hitting production quotas.
• Ensure each station's lead operator is following all NOV Tuboscope Standard Operating Procedures and QMS Procedures.
• Assign coating plant operators their duties for the shift.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain critical control points to ensure excellent process and product quality.
• Communicate and coordinate all pertinent information to Plant Manager to ensure effective and safe operations.
• Perform quality checks throughout production runs.
• Follow all Company HSE, QMS policies and procedures and report to the appropriate personnel of any violations of these policies or procedures.
• Ensure all QMS Reports or daily production reports are being completed by plant operators.
• Direct all personnel issues including disciplinary action, performance reviews and administrative duties of shift.
• Any and all other job duties as assigned by Operations Manager.
