About The Position

Assists with the coating and/or laminating of material that meets coating run order requirements. Performs daily assignments and tasks in Coating department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities included below. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills and the ability to learn inventory control software.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds alone. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and flammable materials. The employee may be required to wear a respirator. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Responsibilities

Helps Level 2 and 3 Coating Operators set up and prepare material for processing.
Places roll of material onto feed spindle of machine.
Threads end through feed and guides material into coating head or and through drying oven and attaches it to rewind spindle.
Fills coating head with coating solution.
Monitors and adjusts coating line.
Reports any non-conformities as material is processed.
Performs basic machine maintenance and PM's.
Cleans work areas.
