About The Position

The Coating and Sandblasting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of surface preparation and coating operations within the facility. This includes managing sandblasting, painting, and coating processes to ensure compliance with safety standards, quality specifications, and production schedules. The Superintendent will lead a team of technicians and work closely with other departments to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial coating and sandblasting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of coating systems, surface preparation techniques, and inspection standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Proficiency in safety and quality control practices.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily coating and sandblasting operations, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
Monitor and enforce safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Coordinate with project managers and quality control teams to ensure proper surface preparation and coating application.
Troubleshooting issues withing booths
Manage workforce scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
Maintain equipment and ensure proper usage and preventative maintenance.
Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work orders.
Track material usage and inventory levels; coordinate procurement as needed.
Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Ensure compliance with industry standards such as SSPC, NACE, and OSHA.
