About The Position
The purpose of the Coater Helper is to prepare the assigned line for startup and to provide general assistance for all operations within the Coating Department, include direct support for the Coater Operator and the Coater Assistant. Due to variations within machine operations, job functions will fluctuate for each individual line.
Requirements
- Must have at least 6 months Lift Truck experience or be able to pass a Lift Truck licensing test.
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
Responsibilities
- Ensuring proper machine startup
- Completing miscellaneous duties to facilitate Coating Operations
- Staging rolls for efficient loading practices
- Loading rolls onto the machine
- Prepping rolls for line operations after loading
- Troubleshooting during down time
- Assisting in web breaks
- Changing out filters
- Transporting hazardous waste drums form the Coating Department to the Red Label building
- General support activities for the Coater Operator and Coater Assistant
- Performing job duties of a Coating Assistant or Operator, as necessary
