About The Position

Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center in Virginia Beach, VA is actively seeking a dedicated General Adult Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team in a full-time Staff Physician role. As a thriving standalone Inpatient and Partial Hospitalization behavioral health facility catering to Adult and Geriatric patients, Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center (VBPC) is committed to providing high-quality care through general and specialized treatment programs. VBPC boasts a multidisciplinary treatment care environment staffed by trained clinicians. Our programs address a wide range of psychiatric issues and include specialized offerings such as Co-occurring and Detox programs. Requirements

• MD/DO degree from an accredited program
• Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry
• Licensed to practice in the State of Virginia
• Minimum of 4 years of practice/training experience
• Inpatient experience preferred
• Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians

Responsibilities

• Conduct admission evaluations
• Develop treatment plans
• Provide direct patient care within the inpatient program
• Manage a caseload of Adult patients with diverse psychiatric treatment needs
• Collaborate with fellow professionals, clinical staff, and administration
