Requirements

• 0-2 years of professional experience in a related technical field.
• Completion of Bachelor's degree in Civil, Coastal, or related engineering field from an accredited college/university.
• Basic computer skills for data entry into spreadsheets or databases.
• Math skills to perform calculations and simple models.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred).
• Proficient interpersonal and communication skills.
• Capability to develop technical writings and reports.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Performs field observations of marine construction, dredging, and beachfill.
• Prepares daily field notes and collects information from contractors.
• Reviews construction drawings for conformity.
• Assists in planning, design, and production of engineering drawings.
• Carries out specific assignments in preparing and assembling specifications.
• Participates in engineering investigations and planning work by completing well-defined tasks.
• Prepares assigned sections of reports under the close review of an experienced professional.
• Reviews shop drawings for conformance with specifications and assists in recordkeeping.
• Collects samples for quality control testing and performs data acquisition and analysis.
• Prepares material for reports and permit applications.
