About The Position

Rutgers University-Newark, an urban public research university and anchor institution located in Newark, New Jersey, is seeking a Non-Credit, Non-Teaching Coadjutant - Math Specialist for the TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program within the Academic Foundations Center. This position is a collaborative partnership between the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) and the SSS program. The duties include but are not limited to training and supervising tutoring staff, providing direct academic support in Math to participants of the SSS program, maintaining weekly office hours, rendering one-on-one tutoring sessions, assessing a student's tutoring needs, advising SSS staff on assessment results and tutoring needs, communicating with faculty on behalf of students when necessary, documenting services rendered, providing bi-weekly reports on services rendered, attending bi-monthly SSS staff meetings, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field is required.

Responsibilities
