About The Position

Varsity Girls Soccer Coach SUPERVISOR: Director and Assistant Director of PE, Health and Athletics DATE POSITIONS BECOME AVAILABLE: Fall 2025 REQUIREMENTS: Varsity coach is responsible for all aspects of the varsity team, including but not limited to:Strong ability to clearly communicate expectations with all stakeholders, i.e. administration, athletes and familiesServe as the primary point of contact for players, parents, and coaches within the soccer program as well as school administrators.Attend all games, practices, and required coaches' meetingsFacilitating parent meetingsDevelop philosophies, facilities management and schedules for the varsity girls soccer programCommunicate and facilitate a rubric for a 3-5 day tryout Create and facilitate a daily practice plan, emphasizing technical skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.Work collaboratively with the other field sports regarding schedule development during pre, off season and in seasonFoster a positive, inclusive, and respectful team culture/environment that prioritizes safety as well as encourages hard work, discipline, and teamwork.Serve as a role model for players, and encourage sportsmanship and team unity both on and off the field.Assist with equipment, including issuing and collecting equipment, and ensuring it is used properly and safely Coordinate facility needs and repairs with maintenance and school employees Record and inventory uniforms and equipment before and after each seasonAdhere to NYSPHSAA, Section 1, and school policies & regulations REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience:Previous coaching experience, with high school-aged athletesKnowledge of NYS and NFHS HS soccer rules and regulations.Certifications:NYS teaching license and/or NYS coaching license in soccerValid CPR/AED/First Aid (in compliance with NYSED)Child Abuse, Violence Prevention, Mandated Reporting and DASA In addition to the above qualifications all public school employees need mandated fingerprint clearance through NYSED SALARY: In accordance with the Agreement between the Board of Education and Mamaroneck Teachers' Association

Requirements

Previous coaching experience, with high school-aged athletes
Knowledge of NYS and NFHS HS soccer rules and regulations.
NYS teaching license and/or NYS coaching license in soccer
Valid CPR/AED/First Aid (in compliance with NYSED)
Child Abuse, Violence Prevention, Mandated Reporting and DASA
In addition to the above qualifications all public school employees need mandated fingerprint clearance through NYSED
