About The Position

Primary Purpose: Provide direct academic support services to identified students. Work cooperatively with instructional personnel to provide leadership, support, classroom modeling, coaching, and staff development to teachers in related subject-area. . Provides coaching and support to classroom teachers to ensure the student growth. Work with students individually and in small groups, bringing them up to grade level reading and/or math standards.

Requirements

• Master's degree or in process of completing master's degree from accredited university
• Valid Texas teaching certificate
• 3 years of teaching experience required
• Knowledge of curriculum, curriculum design and implementation and instruction
• Knowledge of intervention instructional strategies and best practices
• Ability to instruct students and manage behavior
• Ability to interact positively with students, parents, and educators
• Ability to analyze and interpret data to provide intervention support to at-risk students and support classroom teaching
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners
