About The Position
The Frosh-Soph/JV Head Coach at Yerba Buena High School is responsible for leading and developing the junior varsity basketball team. This position requires a strong commitment to instilling discipline, teamwork, and a love for the sport among young athletes. The coach will demonstrate knowledge of fundamental skills and techniques necessary for basketball, ensuring that players are well-prepared for competition. The role involves organizing practices, collaborating with the varsity head coach and Athletic Director to design conditioning programs, and maintaining effective communication with players, parents, and school staff. The coach will also be responsible for managing equipment and uniforms, adhering to district policies, and following the CIF/CCSBVAL Coaches Code of Conduct. This position is part-time and is expected to run during the winter sports season, with compensation contingent upon the team's authorized participation in the season.
