About The Position

Helps elementary school athletes to play their best individually or as a team in sports such as but not limited to: football, baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer, tennis and golf.

Requirements

• Current CPR Certification or the ability to obtain one prior to coaching (online CPR not accepted)
• Teacher Certification is preferred
• Previous coaching experience or experience working with urban youth preferred
• High School diploma/equivalent required
• Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity

Responsibilities

• The ELCSports Leagues; Soccer, Flag Football, Basketball
• Prepare practice plans and host practice at the assigned school two times per week for all 8 weeks
• Host practice twice per week at assigned school and coach one game per week starting week 3
• Teach fundamental and advanced athletic skills to elementary school aged student-athletes
• Become an expert on the rules, strategies, and techniques required for the sport
• Support the coordination and recruitment of student participants
• Attend preseason orientation hosted by ELCSports Administration
