At Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., the Co-Packing Operations Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards while adhering to established standard operating procedures (SOPs). This position is integral to the co-pack operation area, which includes Batch/Blending, Packaging, Digital Can Printing, and Sanitation. The technician is expected to be fully proficient in these areas, utilizing their comprehensive knowledge and manufacturing skills to address daily production needs effectively. They will also be responsible for making recommendations for process deviations and efficiencies, ensuring that all operations align with the company's commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability. The Co-Packing Operations Technician will report directly to the Co-Pack Operations Manager and will be involved in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Safe Quality Food (SQF) System as defined in the SQF Code. This role requires participation in Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety, and Food Security Training as mandated by local, state, federal, and company policies. The technician must consistently perform their duties in accordance with the company's safety rules and quality standards, reporting any food safety and quality issues to the appropriate personnel. In addition to technical skills, the technician will be expected to maintain an organized, sanitary, and safe work area, perform routine GMP audits, and ensure the proper performance of equipment during their shift. They will also communicate frequently with other team members and production teams to ensure that co-pack processes are running smoothly and efficiently. This role is essential for maintaining the high standards that Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. is known for in the craft brewing industry.
