About The Position

Engineering Interns will apply engineering and safety principles in a chemical and/or polymer manufacturing environment. Interns may also rotate between sites to gain experience with unique processes and operations.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in school and have completed their sophomore year.
• At least one semester of courses completed in Chemical engineering, Polymer & Fiber / Material Science Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical engineering, or Mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
• Recognized leadership experience.
• Must be on site daily; this is not a remote role.
• Must have own reliable transportation to and from site daily.

Responsibilities

• Assist an engineer or engineering manager with projects relating to manufacturing, production, process technology, process design, and maintenance & reliability.
• Work on assigned projects under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Reduce waste and increase efficiencies.
• Streamline processes and troubleshoot issues.
• Provide root cause failure analysis of operating problems.
• Identify cost savings and/or update procedures.
