About The Position

The Co-op Technical Engineering / Process Development position at Bosch Rexroth offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through three rotations in various technical engineering functions. This role is designed for individuals pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, providing exposure to manufacturing environments, process improvement, and project management.

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Enrollment in a program that provides a solid foundation in engineering principles and problem-solving skills.
  • Availability to complete three rotations as part of the program.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in three rotations through the Technical Engineering Functions Department.
  • Gain exposure to Bosch Production Systems (BPS) and review system performance for improvements.
  • Develop value stream maps and layout designs.
  • Engage in standardized work documentation and ergonomic assessments.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot manufacturing issues in Technical Engineering Functions (TEF1).
  • Participate in FMEA, Control plans development, and capability studies.
  • Support tooling design and shop layouts using Solidworks and AutoCAD software.
  • Engage in cross-functional project management for large capital expenditure projects in Process Development (TEF2).
  • Design and modify manufacturing workstations and tooling using CAD programs.
  • Participate in CNC machining and tooling selection in Tool & Die/TPM (TEF3).
  • Track work efficiency and conduct ergonomics evaluations in Core Industrial Engineering (TEF6).
  • Contribute to Industry 4.0 strategy development and digital manufacturing standards in TEF7.
