About The Position

Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto’s subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster and easier. Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario.

Requirements

• Must be attending school full-time and returning to an academic institution
• Must be at least 15 years of age before starting employment
• Enrolled in Human Resources or similar program at a post-secondary institution
• Competence in software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is an asset
• Experience in research, data input and analysis are an asset

Responsibilities

• Support the HR Services team on multiple administrative HR responsibilities
• Prepare and organize correspondence, perform data entry, update tracking spreadsheets and perform HRIS data validation
• Provide customer service assistance by responding to employee inquiries via email and phone
• Support process improvement initiatives related to data and document management
• Conducting research, perform analysis and input data
• Manage daily assigned work and adhere to deadlines
• General administrative responsibilities, including data management, auditing and document filing
• Conduct an internal SharePoint site review for outdated documentation
