About The Position

Are you interested in a co-op opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in 6 month co-op opportunities at our site in Cambridge, MA. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company. Your role: Join a dynamic, fast-moving software test and automation engineering team testing best-in-class Healthcare Informatics and Patient Monitoring solutions. Work with the latest embedded device (Linux) and Microsoft© integrated development environment (Azure DevOps). Cultivate effective working relationships with other test team members, software architects and developers. Track new product functionality. Maintain and enhance testing infrastructure, integrating new tools and technologies in a continuously evolving environment. Assist test automation development by converting functional requirements into Gherkin tests. Develop and execute functional test suites. Verify device functionality against patient care workflows and medical standards.

Requirements

  • You are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering or related degrees.
  • Assist in software verification of the Patient Monitoring solution, with a focus on clinical applicability and collaborate with engineers to document and report test results in a regulation-compliant manner.
  • You are detail oriented with ability to understand and assess a complex software application or scenario with particular focus on the development and execution of comprehensive test scripts or protocols and defect (failure mode) detection.
  • You have experience with Microsoft© Windows and Linux operating systems and embedded device testing preferred.
  • Apply knowledge of medical terminology and regulatory compliance in the testing process and participate in developing protocols and methodologies to enhance device safety and reliability.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

  • For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Cambridge, MA.
