About The Position

About the Role: This application is for a 6-month student role from July - December 2026. Resume review begins in January 2026. The RTP Pharma site supports two sterile filling lines in the Parenteral Fill (PF) facility, a small-scale filling line, Antisense Oligonucleotide (ASO) Manufacturing Areas, and an Oral Solid Dose (OSD) Manufacturing Area. As a Co-Op in Quality Engineering, the successful candidate will help ensure that Quality systems supporting facility, equipment, automation, and utilities remain in compliance with Biogen and industry cGMP standards. These activities would include support of facility and equipment controls of the various manufacturing areas (e.g., carryover/changeover process), as well as general facility and equipment oversight (e.g., alarm management and response). What You’ll Do: As a Co-Op, the successful candidate will assist the Quality Engineering team with process improvements to site-specific procedures and to the training curricula content design for Quality Assurance (QA) personnel. Specifically, the Co-Op will collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing Operations to improve the carryover/changeover process for the ASO areas and OSD. The Co-Op will also collaborate with Engineering and Facilities to make improvements to how the RTP Pharma site manages and responds to alarms. Lastly, the Co-Op will collaborate with Quality Assurance and Training to review training curricula content, including On the Job Training (OJT) and Instructor Led Training (ILT) assignments. Example projects may include: Improving the carryover/changeover process for ASO and OSD Alarm management and response across the Pharma site Focus on training curricula improvements in OJTs and ILTs for all of QA Other projects, as assigned Who You Are: Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office / SharePoint is a plus Ability to hit deadlines and understand processes from start to finish Great communication skills To participate in the Biogen Internship or Co-op Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria: Legal authorization to work in the U.S. At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date. Currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college, university or skills program/apprenticeship. Education Requirements Rising Sophomore, or above, from four-year degree program Engineering or Scientific degree program (preferred) Job Level: Internship Additional Information The base compensation range for this role is: $23.00-$27.00 The actual hourly wage offered will consider the candidate’s current academic level and degree candidacy, inclusive of Associate, Bachelor’s, Master’s, JD, MD, PhD and MBA programs. It will comply with state or local minimum wage requirements specific to the job location. Requirements
