2026 Co-Op Program
About The Position
H2M architects + engineers is excited to offer a structured Cooperative Education (Co-Op) Program designed to provide students with real-world experience while earning academic credit. This program supports students enrolled in accredited universities who are pursuing degrees in Architecture, Engineering, Planning, or Environmental Sciences. The Co-Op program is a full-time, paid opportunity that runs during the Spring (January–June) and Fall (August–December) semesters allowing for flexibility based on school requirements. It is designed to help students bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice. About our Program For more than 30 years, H2M architects + engineers has offered college students an opportunity to grow through our robust program. We have opportunities available in all our office locations. Co-Op program span disciplines including: Architecture Civil Engineering, Survey and Landscape Architecture Construction Administration Corporate Services Environmental Services Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Engineering Structural Engineering Wastewater Engineering Water Resources Engineering Throughout the program, students have the opportunity to work on current projects, proposals, conduct site visits and attend client meetings. During the program, we offer professional development seminars for resume writing, interview skills and team building exercises. Pushing boundaries, redefining design. Requirements
- Enrolled as a junior or higher in a relevant degree program.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work individually as well as in a team.
- Eagerness to learn and a strong work ethic.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit preferred, but not required (especially for Architecture/Engineering students).
Responsibilities
- Assist with general administrative tasks and project coordination.
- Perform design calculations and contribute to solving technical challenges.
- Support the development of construction drawings and specifications.
- Participate in field work and site visits as needed.
- Use AutoCAD and Revit for drafting and design tasks.
- Analyze and organize data into charts, tables, and reports.
- Collaborate with project teams and contribute to ongoing initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
