As a Product Management Co-op, you'll play a key role in shaping innovative hardware solutions that improve the lives of people managing diabetes. You'll gain hands-on experience across the product lifecycle and collaborate with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to deliver impactful products. This role is ideal for someone with a hardware engineering background or strong technical acumen who is interested in pursuing a career in product management. This is a hybrid role (3+ days per week) based out of our Acton, MA headquarters. This co-op runs from January to June, with the potential for a full-time opportunity based on performance and business needs.

  • Assist in identifying user needs and pain points, particularly for individuals with accessibility challenges.
  • Work closely with hardware engineers, industrial designers, and other stakeholders to define and refine product requirements.
  • Contribute to building the business case for new product concepts by synthesizing user insights, market data, and technical feasibility to inform investment decisions.
  • Participate in concept evaluations, usability testing, and feedback synthesis to inform design iterations.
  • Support the team in translating user research and technical input into clear, actionable product requirements.
  • Engage with regulatory, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure compliance and feasibility.
  • Join sprint reviews, PI planning, and other key planning activities to understand how hardware development timelines and milestones align with product management priorities.
  • Currently in your 3rd or 4th year of a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical), Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in product management and medical device development.
  • Strong interest in product management & hardware engineering.
  • Curious, customer-focused mindset with a passion for healthcare innovation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to synthesize technical and user feedback into actionable insights.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools, prototyping, or usability testing.
  • Knowledge of diabetes care is helpful but not required.
  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $26.00 - $34.25.
