Throughout the co-op term, participants develop both professional and technical skills through on-the-job training, mentorship, and collaboration with industry experts. This experience allows students to deepen their understanding of their field, strengthen their career readiness, and make a tangible impact within one of the world’s most innovative automotive companies. The New Projects & Supply Chain Co-op will support the Project Steering and Supply Chain team in coordinating supplier activities, tracking costs, and improving project transparency. This role provides a hands-on opportunity to engage in supplier management, data analysis, and strategic planning while collaborating across multiple departments to drive operational efficiency and successful project launches.

Requirements

  • A rising college Junior, Senior or recent graduate
  • Strong GPA
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong preference for Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related degrees.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI preferred.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; German language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Cost & Investment Tracking: Support launch cost tracking, investment reporting, and backward planning activities; assist in preparing masterlists and monitoring supplier quality and investment data (TEVON, QTR).
  • Supplier Management & Coordination: Help organize Supplier Days and Critical Part Reviews (CPR); track supplier performance (SARA, WSK), maintain Supplier Scorecards, and support assessments such as 5S, CMM, and OneNAR.
  • Project & System Support: Contribute to Power BI dashboard development, track free parts delivery in SAP/INCA, and assist in coordinating steering committee documentation.
  • Reporting & Communication: Prepare concise status updates (“Kurzstatus”) and support reporting through SFN and QTR channels.
