About The Position

This position involves supporting human resources onboarding activities, auditing paperwork and reports, and assisting with employee engagement activities. The role includes creating presentations and messages for employee communications, participating in team brainstorming sessions, and taking part in formal and informal training opportunities. Additionally, the candidate will measure and report on projects, support employee safety protocol documentation, and research or support future projects. Learning internal software and tools required for this role is essential, as well as backing up staff and performing general office duties. With a general knowledge of coworker responsibilities and processes, this role also has the ability to effectively step in as a backup or use a team approach to complete tasks during coworker absences.

Requirements

  • Currently working towards a bachelor's degree in human resource, marketing, business, or a related field
  • Successful completion of introductory courses in human resources, marketing, business, or equivalent
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to function as a team member in a group environment and communicate with all levels of the department and organization
  • Strong desire to make a difference on our team by applying new skills and bringing new perspectives
  • Confidentiality is a must
  • Able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
