Landis+Gyr is seeking a Winter/Spring Co-op starting in January 2026 through the beginning of May 2026 working fulltime hours on-site Monday through Friday at our Lafayette, IN office. This is a paid position but we don't offer a housing stipend or relocation assistance so local candidates are preferred. Applicants should be undergraduate level students who will have enough time before graduating to work 3 rotating semesters alternating with school semesters. Senior level students, Masters level students and new graduates will not be considered.

Requirements

  • A student working towards their Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Expected graduation date of August 2027 or later
  • Ability to work fulltime hours on-site at Lafayette, Indiana location Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

  • Create automated tests and data collection utilities
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to design and develop custom test equipment
  • Testing of hardware for compliance with national standards
  • Execute testing of energy storage solutions and assist in processing and analyzing data
  • Become familiar with equipment like oscilloscopes, network analyzers, DMMs, gauss meter, data acquisition devices, soldering irons, environmental chambers, etc.
  • Participate in engineering development processes such as design reviews or DFMEAs
  • Evaluate prototype assemblies for integration into new products
