Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven intern (sophomore or junior) with a current degree plan of engineering, business/finance or organization leadership to work on semester rotations or part time (preferred) basis. In this role, you will be executing cross-functional projects tailored to your specific degree plan and academic background with the first project being an analysis of our local organizational structure. Requirements

  • Education: Currently pursuing a degree in engineering, business/finance or organization leadership or a related field.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for interviewing diverse staff members and presenting technical data clearly.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, finance or engineering

Responsibilities

  • Data Collection & Audit: Execute a thorough discovery process to gather personnel data, departmental functions, and reporting relationships across the site.
  • Stakeholder Interviews: Conduct structured interviews with department heads to verify workflows and identify "shadow" structures not reflected in existing charts.
  • Structural Mapping: Translate raw data into visual organizational charts and functional maps using Microsoft suite tools.
  • Gap Analysis: Identify redundancies, spans of control issues, or communication silos discovered during the data collection phase.
  • Reporting: Compile findings into a final report or presentation for leadership, providing a "current state" baseline for future strategic planning.
