The Pratt & Whitney Customer Support Engineering (CSE) organization is looking for a Data and AI Co-Op to join the team Pratt & Whitney is looking for new ways to leverage AI to provide value to our customers and our employees.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a degree program in computer science, data science, or related engineering or technical field.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, or Java with the ability to build and modify scripts for processing data.
  • Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, Pandas and Excel.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills; and communication skills, including verbal, and technical writing.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI and Matplotlib.
  • Proactive and results-driven individual who thrives in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned projects, handle ambiguity and independently drive for results.
  • Ability to engage cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to execute work independently through complex technical decision-making.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.

Responsibilities

  • Gain knowledge on data, data process, and data flow for the 5th Gen CSE organization.
  • Understand sources, connections, content, and use of data in our key processes such as field support, data analysis, and software and hardware development support.
  • Gain knowledge on RTX AI tools.
  • Research and develop ways to leverage AI to improve data flow, data access, and data visualization for key processes such as failure and reliability reviews and responding to customer issues.
  • Assist in developing, testing, and deploying a machine learning model.
  • Support the development of automation tools to improve data collection and issue reporting.
  • Collaborate with team members on documentation, report generation and presentations to brief upper management and users on new processes and tools.
