About The Position

The Co-Manager at Lowes Foods in Summerville, SC is responsible for ensuring the effective and profitable operation of the assigned retail store. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years of supermarket management experience.
• Knowledge and skills generally associated with a Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Assists the store manager in implementing an in-store sales-building culture.
• Executes company merchandising programs and weekly sales plans in each department.
• Plans and executes weekly sales themes and ensures in-stock conditions throughout the store.
• Participates in weekly sales meetings and provides for desired levels of guest satisfaction.
• Accountable for achieving budgeted financial results in assigned area of responsibility.
• Protects company assets including merchandise, cash, facilities, and equipment.
• Conducts weekly manager audits on front-end, DSD receiving, and pricing.
• Manages grocery inventory with shrink results less than or equal to 0.40% of sales.
• Controls store variable expenses and achieves budgeted wage percent.
• Assists in staffing the store, including forecasting needs, recruitment, and training.
• Builds a talent planning bench for the store and develops plans for high-potential individuals.
• Ensures direct reports understand performance expectations and holds them accountable.
• Conducts frequent and detailed store walks to assess conditions.
• Trains and develops the store management team, especially department managers.
• Ensures sanitation and food safety standards are maintained throughout the store.
• Creates a positive store morale through effective supervisory treatment and recognition.
• Facilitates effective communications to Store Manager, Field Merchandisers, and store hosts.
• Ensures compliance with company standards and all relevant regulations.
