About the position
The Co-Curricular Student Council Advisor position is a contract/hourly employment role for the 2025-2026 term at Calhoun Middle High School. The advisor will oversee student council activities, ensuring compliance with school rules and fostering a positive environment for student engagement.
Responsibilities
- Supervise student council activities whenever they occur, within or outside of school.
- Serve as an advisor to the Student council in the conduct of their activities.
- Assure that school rules and policies are enforced as they relate to student council activities.
- Supervise the selection of student council members.
- Establish and maintain an efficient record keeping system.
- Foster a climate conducive to learning.
- Promote and maintain positive pupil/teacher/administration relationships.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned by the principal.
Requirements
- Certified as a teacher by the West Virginia Board of Education.
