About The Position

In this role, you will act as a general-purpose CNO reverse engineer for network-based devices, supporting emerging projects where you will design, develop, prototype, modify, and integrate solutions to achieve mission-centric results. You will work closely with analysts, operators, data scientists, and other software engineers to provide tactical mission support. Your work will directly enhance operational capabilities through tool development, augmentation, and field support. You will document and analyze requirements, build prototypes to demonstrate understanding of mission needs, produce deployable toolsets that operate within mission constraints, and oversee testing to ensure release readiness.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with reverse engineering Linux-based network devices.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and Assembly for software development and tool creation.
  • In-depth understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP) and network traffic analysis (e.g., Wireshark).
  • Familiarity with Unix-based systems.
  • Experience supporting fielded software systems.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git, Subversion) and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Production experience with CNO capabilities and operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
  • 12 years of relevant experience with a B.S. in a technical discipline, or 10 years with an M.S.
  • 4 years of additional software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience reverse engineering Windows or embedded platforms (RTOS).
  • Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, C#, or Rust.
  • Experience developing CNO-specific software in Linux, Windows, or Embedded applications.
  • Vulnerability research and exploit development experience.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems.
