CNO Developer (CAP)

About The Position

Markon is seeking Computer Network Operations (CNO) Developers at multiple experience levels to support a Fort Meade customer. CNO Developers will design, develop, test, and maintain advanced hardware- and software-based CNO capabilities in support of mission-critical operations. Candidates will collaborate with government stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and innovative cyber solutions across the full development lifecycle.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI W/ Polygraph through this Customer
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, OR equivalent relevant experience.
Experience developing software using Python, C, and/or C++.
Working knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP and socket-level programming.
Familiarity with low-level system internals in one or more environments (e.g., Linux/Unix, Windows, mobile platforms, network devices).
Ability to work effectively in a secure, mission-focused environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience developing CNO capabilities or cyber tools.
Experience with software analysis, vulnerability research, or reverse engineering.
Understanding of assembly language concepts.
Experience developing unit and integration tests.
Familiarity with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Crucible).
Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., PCEP, C++ certifications, security-related certifications).
Experience developing CNO capabilities or cyber tools.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software and hardware-based CNO capabilities.
Support full lifecycle software development, including requirements analysis, implementation, testing, and sustainment.
Ensure solutions comply with network, security, and operational requirements.
Apply knowledge of operating system internals, networking, and low-level programming to develop mission-relevant capabilities.
Collaborate with government customers, engineers, and mission partners.
Produce and maintain technical documentation and development artifacts.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance activities.
Senior-level candidates may provide technical leadership, mentor junior staff, and advise leadership on CNO development efforts.
Support modern development practices, including CI/CD and DevSecOps, as applicable.
