ZIEHL-ABEGG is looking for a high energy and results-oriented --- CNC Supervisor who can be a strong contributor to our heavily expanding company. The purpose of this role is to program, setup, and operate CNC lathes, mills. As well as planning & overseeing the CNC machine production area to ensure the production of quality precision parts. CNC Supervisor 3rd Shift

Requirements

  • Previous management and leadership experience
  • HS diploma or GED and minimum of 1-3 years working directly in CNC machining shop.
  • Previous CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment with preference given for HAAS machine experience.
  • G-Code programming experience.
  • Reading & interpreting engineering drawings/blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of shop math with ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
  • Experience working with wide range of precision measuring equipment.
  • Highly organized with a high level of integrity.
  • Good time management & planning skills
  • Have detailed and precise record keeping skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Communicates honestly, professionally and respectfully with others and demonstrates effective listening skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory experience beneficial.
  • Familiar with the parts approval process and first article inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
  • Ability to setup, program, operate and troubleshoot CNC lathes and mills without assistance. Must be self sufficient.
  • Understands and has the ability to perform tool wear offsets
  • Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling.
  • Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.
  • Understand, interpret and edit HAAS G-code programming.
  • Use gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance and quality requirements.
  • Properly and safely loads and unloads castings and raw materials in CNC machinery.
  • Be responsible for the operation and upkeep of all the CNC machining equipment.
  • Maintain safety and quality standards using acceptable housekeeping practices and 5s processes on equipment and work area.
  • Is flexible with time and schedule to assure availability to customer or company as circumstances warrant
  • Able to travel as required, domestically & internationally for training purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Directly responsible for the daily use and care of the CNC machining equipment.
  • Be responsible for the operation and upkeep of all the measuring equipment, including calibration.
  • Assists in the organization and maintenance of the machine shop work environment.
  • Utilize and abide by ISO requirements and safety procedures.
  • Promotes a team environment within the department.
