About The Position

The CNC Student Intern position at Ametek, Inc. offers an exciting opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in machining and manufacturing processes within a supportive environment. Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a high school or vocational program
• Basic understanding of machining practices

• Demonstrates a strong mechanical aptitude

Responsibilities

• Load raw materials and unload completed parts
• Operate multiple machines simultaneously
• Perform inspection of own parts and co-worker's work
• Use measurement tools such as snap gage, digital calipers, micrometers, and optical comparator
• Run select machines in the department
• Utilize QMS, MAX & SPC databases as needed
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment including top-off lubricants
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, chip removal, and work area
• Follow established procedures as well as quality and safety standards
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Work under supervision
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
