About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Experienced Machinist II for 1st and 2nd shifts. For 2nd shift only, we are offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus, paid over two years, plus a 12% shift differential. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred.
  • 5 years or more of machining background and/or experience in a machine shop.

Nice To Haves

  • Able to understand and follow instructions in English.
  • Able to understand and interpret blueprints and sketches.
  • Understanding of G and M Codes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Willingness to attend off-site training and be willing to learn.
  • Ability to lift equipment up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC lathes and/or milling machines and related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed.
  • Work with Engineers and Programmers to make all edits and adjustments as required to produce parts to work orders/blueprint specifications/sketches.
  • Operate more than one machine in a cellular environment.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and cutting tools and their application.
  • Inspect work for all dimensional features as required.
  • Produce quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements.
  • Complete paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc. according to Company policy.
  • Exercise good machining practices.
  • Maintain area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, safe, orderly condition including operator maintenance sheets.
  • Maintain coolant tanks and fill as necessary.
  • Train, guide, and assist other employees as required.
  • Observe all Company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety, and security.
