About The Position

Key Responsibilities Assist in the setup of CNC Lathe machines for production runs, including loading materials, securing workpieces, and installing tooling Learn to interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications to understand machining requirements Assist in the operation of CNC machines to produce parts with tight tolerances and complex geometries Perform basic CNC programming tasks, such as inputting tool offsets and adjusting machine settings Conduct routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged components Monitor machining processes and make adjustments as directed by senior operators or supervisors to ensure quality and efficiency Inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications Assist in troubleshooting machining issues and identifying opportunities for process improvement Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, including proper handling and operation of CNC machines and equipment Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and productive work environment Requirements

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity, with the ability to operate hand tools and machinery
  • Ability to learn and follow instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills in CNC machining and programming
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • 2-year technical certification or equivalent experience preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Doosan PUMA lathe machine experience
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is preferred
