About The Position

This position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties, such as maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding various production machines and equipment according to safety guidelines. Requires knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures. The primary job functions typically require exercising independent judgment.

  • Fabrication experience for conducting repairs.
  • Ability to operate a powered industrial forklift.
  • Ability to operate motorized devices and use various hand tools.
  • Ability to use a computer (Excel, Word, Outlook, Etc.).
  • Ability to write, read, count, identify shade of colors, and perceive depth.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills specifically with CNC equipment
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical control systems for industrial manufacturing machines
  • Experience with various devices including sensors, lasers, vision, AC/DC drives, pneumatics, linear and rotary servos, robots, etc.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment as needed such as a bridge and jib cranes
  • Ability to perform Aerial Platform work when necessary
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment
  • Good time-management skills
  • Ability to work under limited supervision
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience working as a Maintenance Technician (assembly-type machines preferred)
  • Knowledge of parametric and industrial control systems
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or technical certification in Electrical and/or Mechanical field preferred
  • Experience with hydraulics preferred
  • Plc troubleshooting preferred
  • Basic computer and report writing skills

Responsibilities

  • Repair or maintain all industrial production equipment during the workday. Using means necessary to keep production equipment running safely and in specification.
  • Identifying equipment problems and repairing them before failures occur.
  • Ready for emergency breakdown of production equipment, knowledge of equipment, its function, high level of urgency during repairs and a focus on safety.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to read electrical and mechanical diagrams, follow repair procedures, adjust, weld, and form damaged metal.
  • Independently work on projects assigned and complete in a timely manner (Continuous Improvement, shop, production, and building). Projects may require welding skills and a high level of creativity.
  • Keep tools, maintenance work area, maintenance room, and repair equipment ready to use.
  • Reporting weekly and daily maintenance progress.
  • Overtime may be required for completing repairs with long workdays and/or weekends as needed.
  • Understand and be able to safely use forklifts, scissor lifts, power tools, and lifting equipment to assist in repairs.
  • Understanding of the function of CNC equipment and manual machines throughout the building.
  • Understanding of the cranes and proper operation of use.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
