CNC Reliability Technician — Machine Tool Systems

At Ingersoll Rand, you’ll own outcomes on mission-critical CNC equipment, ensuring uptime, quality, and safety on the 2nd shift in Alsip, IL. Where and When Location: Alsip, IL (on-site) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:00pm–12:30am (2nd Shift) What You’ll Tackle Set up CNC machines per standard work; run production and perform PM. Inspect, deburr, and carry out manual operations; operate ancillary equipment. Preset tooling for upcoming work to keep flow moving. Keep visual controls current; create and support countermeasures that stick. Participate in SMED, Kaizen, and 5 Whys to reduce waste and solve root causes. Troubleshoot, fix, and escalate equipment abnormalities as needed. Model safe behaviors—stop work and report any unsafe condition without hesitation.
Requirements
- 3+ years as a CNC maintenance mechanic.
- Proficient with OSP, Fanuc, and Haas CNC controls (3+ years).
- Hands-on experience (3+ years) with turret alignment, spindle/motor swaps, and component rebuilds; able to train peers.
- Experienced (3+ years) installing/repairing electrical feeds of various voltages for CNC machinery.
- 3+ years designing and implementing hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Track record (3+ years) building and executing daily-to-annual maintenance programs.
Nice To Haves
- Fanuc robot familiarity.
- Basic welding and fabrication.
