We are seeking multiple CNC Programmers to join our team in Chicago, IL. This is a permanent position, and we are looking to fill these roles quickly due to high demand in the job market. The CNC Programmer will be responsible for producing machine parts by setting up, programming, and operating CNC milling machines in a job shop environment. Candidates should have a solid understanding of CNC machine operation, including programming, setup, maintenance, and operation, as well as the ability to diagnose minor mechanical issues with the equipment and fixturing. The ideal candidate will possess strong shop math skills, including the ability to calculate proper feed and speed for various materials and perform metric conversions. Interpreting blueprints and geometric tolerances is essential, and candidates must be capable of holding tolerances and meeting surface finish requirements. Basic computer skills for file transfer are beneficial, and the ability to multitask is required. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are necessary, as is the ability to follow directions while working with minimal supervision.
