The CNC Programmer at Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is responsible for the NC programming of manufacturing flight articles. This role involves collaboration with machinists and metrology to ensure hardware meets drawing specifications, as well as supporting robotic programming and learning additional equipment to enhance program support. The position requires onsite work in New Orleans, LA, and adherence to security standards and export control compliance.

  • Work with machinists and metrology on compensations for hardware to meet drawing specifications.
  • Support other areas in the factory such as robotic programming for machining and spray foam application.
  • Learn additional equipment to support the program such as water jet, tube bender, and laser tracker.
  • Ability to read blueprints with understanding of Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Experience programming CNC machines.
  • Experience setting up and operating Manual and CNC machines.
  • Experience in machining.
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Agreement to have a background check performed if hired.
  • Experience working with Catia V5 programming.
  • Experience using Vericut.
  • Experience working with large structures is a plus.
  • NC Programming experience and machine shop experience.
  • Machinist certification, education, or documented training.
