The CNC Programmer is responsible for creating and optimizing CNC machine programs to produce high-precision parts and components. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, developing efficient machining strategies, and collaborating with machinists and engineers to ensure high-quality production. The CNC Programmer plays a key role in maximizing productivity and minimizing production time while maintaining strict quality standards.

  • Develop CNC programs using CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Optimize tool paths, speeds, and feeds to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure programs align with engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with machinists to set up CNC machines for production runs.
  • Provide clear documentation, including setup sheets and tool lists, to support machine operators.
  • Troubleshoot and refine programs to resolve machining issues.
  • Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models to determine machining requirements.
  • Identify and address potential design challenges or inconsistencies before production.
  • Validate and test new CNC programs to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
  • Utilize precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, and CMMs) to verify part dimensions.
  • Revise programs as needed to address quality concerns.
  • Identify opportunities to improve machining processes and reduce cycle times.
  • Recommend tooling, fixture designs, or workflow enhancements to optimize production.
  • Stay updated on advancements in CNC technology and industry best practices.
  • 3 years of experience in CNC programming.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
