We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming CNC machines and a solid understanding of machining processes. This role is essential for programming, setting up, and monitoring computer-numeric-controlled (CNC) machines ensuring precision and quality in our production operations, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing processes.

  • Create CNC machining programs for 3 & 5 axis mills using MasterCam software.
  • Read and/or interrogate information defined in reference drawings/CAD models, and related technical materials to produce parts.
  • Analyze, perform calculations, select speeds, and identify cutting tools for machining programs.
  • Perform a variety of machine set-ups and operations for both CNC (to include 3X and 5X) as well as manual mills, lathes, water jet, and saws as required.
  • Work to close tolerances and select speeds, feeds, and tools for varying conditions according to reference manuals or materials for machine set ups.
  • Document machine set-up data, maintain all related records, files, and updates as needed.
  • Check completed programs by running simulations and running first production parts to support FAI documentation.
  • Sharpen and replace tools as required.
  • Ensure use of statistical methods or quality control.
  • Communicate with operators that will use these programs.
  • Modify existing programs for increased efficiency (editing).
  • Follow all company safety practices and policies.
  • Maintain AS9100 quality standard per Survival Systems International's Quality Manual.
  • Use ERP systems to charge time to appropriate jobs as required.
  • Perform periodic maintenance on equipment as required.
  • Proficient in CNC programming and operation, with a strong understanding of machining processes.
  • Skilled in blueprint reading for precise manufacturing.
  • Experience with SolidWorks, as well as CAM programming.
  • Competent in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges.
