Job Summary: The CNC Programmer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs to support precision machining operations. This role ensures efficient production of high-quality components that meet engineering specifications and customer requirements.

  • Create, edit, and maintain CNC programs for milling, turning, and other machining operations using CAD/CAM software.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
  • Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters to optimize cycle times and maintain quality standards.
  • Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot programming issues and improve processes.
  • Perform program simulations and verify tool paths to prevent errors and reduce scrap.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of programs, setups, and revisions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company quality procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing by understanding, analyzing, and streamlining machining process.
  • Associate degree or technical certification in CNC programming, machining, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, GibbsCAM, Solidworks or similar).
  • Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, and CNC machine operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Knowledge of materials (metals, composites) and machining processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience cutting multiple materials, (Titanium, Stainless, Inconel, Plastics)
  • Experience with multi-axis machining and advanced programming techniques.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and shop floor data collection.
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
