About The Position

We are looking for a hands-on CNC Programmer who enjoys working on a variety of projects in a team environment. In this role, you will contribute directly to that process by programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment, including flat sheet fiber laser cutting machine and 6-axis press brakes, to produce high-precision parts that meet engineering and customer requirements. You will also leverage your expertise in CAD/CAM tools, including SolidWorks, to translate customer drawings and engineering models into accurate programs and production-ready components.

Requirements

  • Program and optimize flat laser cutting machines to produce precision parts based on engineering specifications
  • Program and set up press brake machines for bending operations, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Operate laser machines and press brakes when needed to meet deadlines and quality standards
  • Create Work packages to send down to the operators
  • Apply knowledge of material types, thicknesses, cutting tools, and machining processes to produce quality parts
  • Monitor production for efficiency, troubleshoot issues, and make program modifications to optimize performance and reduce waste
  • Inspect work before and after machining to ensure adherence to tolerances, specifications, and customer standards
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes throughout the production cycle
  • Document project details, including specifications, materials, settings, and QC results
  • Ensure compliance with established safety procedures at all times
  • Order and manage production materials, ensuring correct quantities, timely delivery, and cost efficiency
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels to meet ongoing production requirements
  • Train and mentor team members on CNC equipment operation, safety standards, and quality requirements
  • Collaborate effectively with engineers, fabricators, and multidisciplinary shop teams to support complex prototype builds

Nice To Haves

  • Experience communicating directly with customers to understand technical requirements and provide recommendations
  • Ability to develop accurate quotes by evaluating job specifications, material requirements, machine run times, and labor inputs
  • Track record of building and maintaining strong customer relationships to support repeat work and long-term partnerships
  • Proficiency in programming from customer-provided drawings, CAD files, or templates and converting them into production-ready programs
  • Ability to identify new opportunities with existing or prospective customers and support broader business development efforts
