About The Position

The CNC Programmer will lead the development of efficient, low-cost, high-quality products, develop and improve CNC programs. The programmer is responsible for setting up, editing and maintaining all tooling speeds and feed records, creating the prototype product from beginning to end, optimizing the tooling, and machines capabilities.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or Certification in CNC programming or equivalent combination of years of experience and education.
  • 2 or more years developing EIA and macro programs.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience with CNC machining, tooling capability, able to set up, edit trouble shoot, and operate multiple CNC controls.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Perform duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office products
  • Strong communication skills; verbal, written and interpersonal.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines.
  • Develop efficient programs and machining processes in all types of materials and equipment.
  • Cost reduces product and processes.
  • Verify in process cycle-times and at the end of production runs.
  • Make recommendations to design team for manufacturability of products.
  • Will establish product quotes.
  • Implements consistent process control throughout programming methods.
  • Loading and unloading fixtures, devices, tools and programs.
  • Establish and follow standard work processes and record data.
  • Other duties as assigned.
