Join a team where craftsmanship meets cutting-edge technology. We engineer mission-critical hardware that supports national security and advances next-generation manufacturing capability. As part of our precision CNC programming team, you’ll help transform complex engineering concepts into high-performance components for some of the most advanced systems in the world. Your work will have real impact—on the shop floor, in the field, and across programs that protect our nation. Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Numerical Control (NC) Programmer who thrives in a high-tech, high-accuracy manufacturing environment. In this role, you will translate engineering drawings into robust, efficient CNC programs for multi-axis machining centers. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, machinists, and production teams to optimize processes, enhance manufacturability, and deliver precision components on schedule. If you are passionate about CNC programming, continuous improvement, and tackling complex machining challenges, this is an opportunity to grow your influence and lead innovation.

  • Develop and write CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines based on engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Analyze engineering documents to define part configurations and determine machining sequences.
  • Select cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and strategies aligned with machine tool capabilities and material requirements.
  • Optimize program routines for best-in-class efficiency and precision.
  • Test, update, and refine existing programs in response to engineering changes or improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and solve machining challenges.
  • Drive improvements in tooling, fixtures, processes, and workflows to enhance throughput and quality.
  • Deep understanding of CNC machining processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to program 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC equipment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with Siemens NX, Mastercam, or NCL.
  • Strong understanding of test execution processes.
  • Effective multitasking abilities and strong interpersonal skills; proven teamwork and collaboration.
  • Knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical test methodologies and related equipment.
  • Experience with Mazak and Siemens controllers.
  • Skilled communicator with ability to resolve issues and present complex technical topics to diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated capacity for building strong cross-organization relationships.
  • Experience leading or implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Background in tooling or fixturing design.
  • Experience developing and deploying new tools, processes, or methods.
